We're back with Episode 7 of The Geek Roundtable
For this episode host Kenny Mittleider along with guest hosts Jenni, Ivan, Michael and Patty talk about Strong Female Characters in Television and Movies.
Host of The Geek Roundtable:
Kenny Mittleider is a Post Production Supervisor for TV and a seasoned veteran when it comes to podcasting. He's been podcasting for over 10 years, he started guest podcasting on Treks in Sci Fi before creating a sub podcast call The Ready Room for Treks in Sci fi. He then created several companion podcasts for the webseries The Guild and My Gimpy Life, Knights of the Guild Podcast and My Gimpy Life Podcast, respectively. Over the years he's created other podcasts; Confessions of a Fanboy Podcast, Alien Nation: The Newcomers Podcast, MASH4077 Podcast, We Are Nerdstrong Podcast and now The Geek Roundtable Podcast.
Patty Jean Robinson was raised as a pop culture nerd. Didn't everyone's family love watching Star Wars movies and Star Trek shows all the time? It's totally normal, right? She's been in Los Angeles for 12 1/2 years. She likes juggling 3-4 jobs at a time and acts on occasion. Nowadays, she binges shows over weeks instead weekends, can't watch a movie that starts later than 8pm, and might be a little obsessed with Nerdstrong Gym. She's a Hufflepuff who believes the original trilogy shouldn't have been made into special editions, has a love/hate relationship with zombies and thinks pirates are the coolest. She's really mad that the White Walkers have a dragon.
Jenni Powell is the Emmy Award-winning producer of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Welcome to Sanditon, lonelygirl15, Emma Approved and The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy. For two years she was Director of Content and Social Media for VidCon and was a producer at Felicia Day’s YouTube Premium Channel Geek & Sundry, where she produced the Geekie Award-Winning Talkin’ Comics Weekly. Most recently, she was Head of Production for NewMediaRockstars before co-founding Discourse Productions, a boutique production company specializing in digital media content and events. She doesn’t have a lot of free time.
Ivan Salazar is a karaoke nerd and weeb boy that works in PR & Marketing for the digital comics service comiXology. He’s recently been featured in Dark Horse Comic’s The Secret Loves of Geeks with his essay titled “The Walter Mercado Effect.”
